Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Paris

More than fifteen years after the Haute Couture House closed, Yves Saint Laurent Museum opened in Paris in October 2017 in the former historical House. Exhibitions are organized there, alternating between retrospectives and thematic exhibitions.

The first exhibition, which will started in October 2017 and will last until the 9th September 2018 displays a selection of YSL’s creations and archives (videos, sketches, pictures…) is currently installed in the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Paris.

Amongst the numerous archives of the House of Saint Laurent, about fifty creations (garment and accessories) selected by Yves Saint Laurent himself, when he was alive, are exhibited, showing the various periods and inspirations in YSL’s work.

Visitors can even access the studio where Yves Saint Laurent used to design and draw his collections, and everything in the space remains perfectly preserved as it was when Yves Saint Laurent worked there.

And as a bonus, the first creation of Yves Saint Laurent displayed at the entrance of the exhibition is one of the first women suits created by the famous designer, and it is made with Dormeuil cloth… Do not miss this !
